Sports Network Announces MotoGP™ Race Calendar and Opening
Round Schedule for Sunday March 20^th

MIAMI–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The highly-anticipated 2016 MotoGP™ World Championship kicks off Sunday,
March 20^th exclusively on beIN SPORTS. Starting with the
season opener at the Losail International Circuit in Doha, Qatar, each
of this season’s races will air on both beIN SPORTS and beIN SPORTS
CONNECT, the network’s streaming service. This weekend’s coverage begins
on Saturday, March 19^th LIVE on beIN SPORTS CONNECT with all
the qualifying action for Moto 2, Moto 3, and MotoGP starting at 11 AM
ET and continues on Sunday, March 20^th with the races on all
three categories.

MotoGP™ heads into a thrilling 2016 season with more than 20 riders from
12 teams and five manufacturers – Yamaha, Honda, Ducati, Suzuki and
Aprilia – competing for the coveted world title. Among this year’s
riders are three returning premier class champions: reigning champion,
Jorge Lorenzo (2010, 2012 and 2015), Marc Marquez (2013 and 2014) and
seven-time MotoGP™ champion, Valentino Rossi (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004,
2005, 2008 and 2009). On the hunt for his eighth crown, if the Italian
legend were to win a race in 2016, Rossi would become the ninth oldest
rider to win a GP.

The 2016 season will be the 68^th edition of the MotoGP™ World
Championship. Established as a World Championship by the FIM (Fédération
Internationale de Motocyclisme) in 1949, MotoGP™ is the oldest
motorsports championship in the world and the premier-class of three
racing classes that take to the track on a typical Grand Prix weekend.

This year’s action-packed schedule features 18 races in 15 countries
across four continents. The first race will be held in Qatar on March 20^th,
starting an eight-month battle for the title, concluding in Valencia on
November 13^th. A highlight of this season’s calendar is the
historic Austrian GP return. Last hosting a round in 1997, MotoGP™ will
return to Austria on August 14th at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.
