TORRANCE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–On September 7th, Fasha Mahjoor, CEO of Phenomenex, global
leader in separation science technologies, and Neoteryx, provider of
microsampling services and devices for the collection and analysis of
biological fluids, survived his leap off of not one, but three iconic
London skyscrapers (a rappel/abseil totaling 1,916 feet!), helping to
raise a record breaking £2,000,000/$3,040,000 (and counting) in a single
day for The
Outward Bound Trust
, a charitable organization that enables
underprivileged youth to realize their potential through outdoor
adventure.

Mahjoor descended from three buildings known locally as The Gherkin, The
Cheesegrater, and The Walkie-Talkie during the City
Three Peaks Challenge
to aid the foundation. Mahjoor’s goal was to
raise £100,000/$156,000, of which he personally donated £33,333/$50,000.

“While it’s terrifying at the edge looking down 50 to 80 stories, the
view from the top is exhilarating,” says Mahjoor with a nervous smile.
“I felt like I could do anything, and that is—I am certain of it—the
same feeling youths capture through transformative Outward Bound Trust
(OBT) programs. The money raised during this event will ensure that many
more youths can participate, giving them a fantastic opportunity to
attain the self-confidence and motivation they need to do anything they
put their minds to. I am forever grateful to the kindness of friends,
family, and business partners for their generous support and giving me
the opportunity to send over 500 youths to OBT programs.”
