Amerigroup Kicks off Back-to-School Season by Giving Away Thousands of School Supplies
Statewide Initiative to Prepare Children and Teens for School by
Providing Much Needed Supplies
ATLANTA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#Amerigroup–Back to school season has begun, and Amerigroup Community Care of
Georgia is helping families prepare for the upcoming school year by
donating thousands of school supplies to local youth throughout the
state of Georgia. Amerigroup’s Back to School Bash events kicked off on
Wednesday, July 13 in Macon, and will make seven additional stops in the
coming weeks.
During the Back to School Bash events, Amerigroup is distributing free
backpacks and back-to-school items while supplies last, including
notebooks, pens, pencils, folders, binders, paper and other essentials.
Free health screenings, games, snacks, and entertainment will also be
provided.
Amerigroup Back to School Bash events are currently scheduled for the

Friday, July 22: Diamond Lakes Elem. School, 4153 Windsor
Spring Rd., Hephzibah, GA 30815; 5 – 8 p.m. -
Wednesday, July 27: Ridge Ferry Park, 363 Riverside Parkway NE,
Rome, GA 30161; 4 – 7 p.m. -
Friday, July 29: East Point Library, 2757 Main St., East Point,
GA 30344; 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. -
Saturday, July 30: Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, 1501 Newton
Road, Albany, GA 31707; 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. -
Saturday, August 6: Boys & Girls Clubs of Glynn County, 4226
