Tickets, the first-of-its-kind theatrical mobile ticketing
platform and app, today announced the launch of their free app in
partnership with Landmark Cinemas throughout Calgary. To help celebrate
Atom’s arrival in Calgary, everyone’s first ticket to the movies is
free*.
The new social, mobile ticketing platform is designed to make
movie-going simple. Movie fans can use the service to purchase tickets
and concessions, coordinate and invite friends without having to pay for
them, and skip the lines at the theatre, all without incurring
additional usage fees. The free app is available in both the Apple
App Store and Google
Play.

clicks, movie-goers can seamlessly invite friends to the same show and
order tickets and concessions, to skip all the lines in the theatre. At
the theatre, consumers go to the usher and concession stands where they
scan their QR codes at simple tablet scanners. For Calgary movie-goers,
there are no fees, no paper tickets and no IOUs.
Additionally, when customers use the promo code “HEALTH” at checkout,
Atom Tickets will donate 10% of the ticket purchase to the Calgary
Health Trust. Their work benefits area hospitals, community programs and
long-term care centres. The philanthropic partnership launches March 10
and will run through June 10.
