Blended Learning Prepares Students for Success in 2016-2017 School Year

— Students return to blended learning public school September 6th

NEWARK, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Students at Newark
Prep
, an accredited, tuition-free public charter school, will begin
their 2016-2017 school year on September 6, ready for another year of
blended online education and traditional onsite schooling.

Newark Prep, now in its fifth year, offers complete high school classes
and services for students in grades 9 through 12. The engaging and
personalized learning experience combines in-person instruction, online
classes and experiential learning that gives students a learning
environment that works for them. Instruction at Newark Prep is delivered
both independently online and with support offline in a traditional
classroom.

Each student’s schedule is designed to meet their individual needs.
Online coursework helps students move through subjects that they have
already mastered, while students needing more help on lessons use class
time to work through course material with direct instruction from
teachers.

“Our mission at Newark Prep is to provide rigorous instruction in an
environment where students are valued and nurtured,” said Henry McNair,
Head of School at Newark Prep. “Our staff does everything possible to
prepare our students for college, careers and citizenship so that
students can graduate ready to make a productive contribution to
society.”

The innovative instructional model at Newark Prep allows the school to
provide multiple subject-specific labs where students and teachers meet
in small groups and one-on-one. This ensures that students get the
support they need to successfully graduate.
