Books-A-Million to Honor Teachers During Fall Educator Week, October 8-14

Special savings and prize giveaways are in store for educators during
weeklong festivities

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#BAM–School is back in full swing! To honor the hardworking teachers who prep
today’s youth for a brighter tomorrow; Books-A-Million will host
its biannual Educator Week, October 8-14! During the
weeklong celebration, all educators are invited to save 25 percent on
in-store purchases and enter-to-win a variety of prizes for their
classroom and school!

“Educators have one of the most important roles teaching our youth to be
intelligent, contributing members of society, yet they are often
overlooked,” said Scott Kappler, Vice President of Marketing for
Books-A-Million. “Our goal in hosting Educator Week is to show our
appreciation for these men and women and celebrate all that they do for
children and all that they’ve done for each of us.”

Educator week will kick off Saturday, October 8 from 2-4 p.m.
at all locations. The first 25 teachers at each Books-A-Million store
will receive a Chris Grabenstein tote bag to fill with resource
materials (while supplies last). Additionally, guests can enter-to-win
the in-store raffle, a $25 Books-A-Million gift card, as well as receive
giveaway goodies like the “365 Days of Wonder Precepts Guide,” Animal
Planet bookmarks, Epic Reads sampler and more. Other prizes up for grabs
will include one $1,000 Books-A-Million gift card and four $250
Books-A-Million gift cards. Teachers can enter-to-win by visiting
Books-A-Million on Facebook using the hashtag #BAMlovesteachers. Stores
with a Joe Muggs Café will serve Frappe samples and give away FREE
coffees – either a tall “coffee of the day” or a tall hot tea – while
Yogurt Mountain locations will offer $1 off cups of frozen yogurt.

As part of the festive week, teachers who bring their school ID will
have the opportunity to register for their official Educator Card, which
grants access to benefits and discounts offered not only during Educator
Week, but also throughout the year. With the Educator Card, teachers
will receive a 20 percent discount year round on all purchases.

Specifically for the Brandon and Tallahassee, Fla., stores, author Chris
Grabenstein will attend the educator week kick-off events at 2 p.m. on
Saturday, October 8 (Brandon) and Sunday, October 9 (Tallahassee).
Teachers will get a chance to meet him, as well as have books
personalized during a signing event. In addition, educators can enter
for a chance to win a FREE school visit from him. For more information
