Books-A-Million to Present “An Evening with Rick Riordan” on October 5

Event to feature second installment in Riordan’s “Magnus Chase and
the Gods of Asgard” trilogy

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#BAMRick Riordan fans are invited to join the New York Times
best-selling author for an interactive presentation and live Q&A
featuring his new mythical novel, “Magnus Chase and the Gods of
Asgard: The Hammer of Thor
” on Wednesday, October 5 at 7
p.m.
The event will take place at Vestavia Hills High School
Auditorium
, located at 2235 Lime Rock Road in Vestavia
Hills
. Seating is limited, and doors will open at 6 p.m.

“Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard: The Hammer of Thor” is the second
novel in Riordan’s mythical trilogy following troubled Magnus Chase, a
kid whose once normal life was turned upside down when he discovered his
true identity: the son of a Norse god. Fast forward to Magnus’ new life
– after death – he is tasked with finding Thor’s missing hammer, the
mightiest force in the Nine Worlds. If Magnus and friends can’t retrieve
the hammer quickly, the mortal worlds will be defenseless against an
onslaught of giants, Ragnarok will begin and the Nine Worlds will burn.
Will Magnus make the deal with Loki, the god’s worst enemy, to get the
hammer back to the thunder god? The fabled adventure unfolds this fall.

Tickets are required to attend the author event and are available now

Thor” at the Brookwood Village Books-A-Million store, located at 757

In addition to swag items given throughout the presentation, autographed
copies of the book will be distributed to guests at the conclusion of
the event.

Any customer under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. The
