RYE BROOK, N.Y.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Broadview Networks®, a leading cloud-based provider of
communications and information technology services, announced today that
Rebecca Sommi, Senior Vice President of Operations Support and
Engineering, has been selected to receive the 2015 Women in Tech Award.
This award, presented by the Westchester County Association, recognizes
outstanding women for their accomplishments in life sciences and
technology, and will be presented on October 1, 2015 at the annual Women
in Tech Awards Luncheon, held at Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown, N.Y.

“The Women in Tech luncheon provides a forum for women to share their
stories and for us to shine a light on their successes,” noted Marissa
Brett, President of the Westchester County Association. “Westchester is
a leader in technology and the life sciences, and we are proud to
recognize these trailblazing women whose work improves our daily lives.”

Ms. Sommi, who joined Broadview in 1999, has more than 30 years of
experience in telecommunications technology. She is responsible for such
critical areas as vendor management, network planning, logistics and
regulatory support. Prior to joining Broadview, she served as the
Director of External Affairs for the Eastern TeleLogic Corporation,
where she participated in the first application for a competitive local

“I am truly honored to be recognized by the WCA, especially amongst such
an extraordinary group of professional women,” Ms. Sommi said. “It is
very fulfilling to be recognized in the field, and I hope this
recognition will inspire others who share my passion for technology.”

“Rebecca’s extensive expertise in technology and telecommunications has
been a huge asset to us,” said Brian Crotty, Chief Operating Officer for
Broadview. “Her dynamic role has been fundamental to the success of
several of our strategic acquisitions in this ever-evolving marketplace,
