, the world’s leading orphan disease and specialty
market agency, announced today that it has been recognized by The
Boston Globe Magazine
and The Commonwealth Institute’s (TCI) 2015
list of the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts. Under the
leadership of CEO and Partner Maureen Franco, women represent 70 percent
of Cambridge BioMarketing staff and 60 percent of its executive
leadership team. This is the third time in as many years the company has
appeared on the list.

“We are proud to be recognized for the third year in a row,
acknowledging our innovative and creative work building community and
generating awareness for millions of people living with rare disease, as
well as our commitment to workplace diversity,” said Franco. “Cambridge
BioMarketing’s outstanding staff is the driving force behind the
company’s success, and we are honored to be included among such a
prestigious group of women-led businesses, nurturing opportunities to
develop female leaders in Massachusetts.”

Cambridge BioMarketing has risen steadily on the list to No. 21 since
first appearing in 2013, when it ranked No. 63. In 2014, the company
ranked No. 35.

Since 2000, TCI has compiled the annual list to highlight the
outstanding achievements of Massachusetts women. Rankings for the Top
Women-Led Businesses list were based on revenue, workplace and board
diversity, innovation, and the number of full-time employees. Companies
named to the 14th Annual Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in
Massachusetts were published in the Sunday, October 25th
edition of The Boston Globe Magazine.
