CareLinx Appoints Healthcare Entrepreneur Melissa Miao to Head Commercialization and Accelerate Growth
SAN BRUNO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–CareLinx
Inc., the leading online caregiver marketplace, announced today that
senior healthcare executive Melissa Miao has joined the company to lead
commercialization and operations.
Miao has broad experience addressing the marketing and business
development needs of fast-growth startups and Fortune 100 companies.
Earlier, she co-founded a healthcare informatics company that McKesson,
the country’s largest pharmaceutical distributor, acquired. Miao
remained at McKesson in business development and strategy roles.

Sheik, a former Wall Street healthcare analyst, founded CareLinx after
his own family struggled to find quality caregivers for his sister with
multiple sclerosis and for his uncle with ALS. CareLinx has grown into

oncology services unit at McKesson, which she joined following its
acquisition of the healthcare informatics venture she co-founded.
Miao holds BS and MS degrees in Industrial Engineering from Stanford
University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
