Catapult Learning Now a Jon Peterson Scholarship Provider in Ohio

New Status as Scholarship Provider Allows Catapult Learning to Reach
Special Education Students with Targeted Interventions and Services

CAMDEN, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Catapult Learning announced today that the company was named a Jon
Peterson Special Needs (JPSN) Scholarship provider for school year
2015–2016, an exciting new development that allows Catapult Learning to
expand its delivery of services to more students with special needs,
including learning disabilities, cognitive disabilities, and health
issues that present challenges in the school setting.

Catapult
Learning, Inc.
, the largest provider of K–12 contracted educational
services in the country, has been working with Ohio schools since 1989,
currently serving nearly 2,000 students in more than 25 school districts
and 45 schools throughout the state with federally and state-funded
intervention and specialized services. As a JPSN Scholarship provider,
Catapult Learning will be able to serve even more students with special
needs in Ohio—both those who currently attend nonpublic schools to
receive specialized programming and those in public schools who would
like to attend a nonpublic school that may not currently offer a special
education program suited to their needs.

The JPSN
Program
provides scholarships for children in grades K–12 with an
IEP (Individualized Education Program) to receive special education
services through an approved provider. The amount of the scholarships
ranges from approximately $7,000 to $20,000 per student per school year
depending on the student’s identified disability. The services Catapult
Learning will deliver that are covered by the JPSN Scholarship include
speech-language therapy, intervention services, 1:1 aides, counseling,
nursing, school psychological services, and services pertaining to minor
OHI (other health impairments).

Earning this prestigious providership indicates Catapult Learning’s
status as a quality education services provider committed to serving the
needs of Ohio’s special education students.

Underscoring this commitment, Alex O’Kulich, Senior Vice President of
Operations for the Midwest and West for Catapult Learning, states, “We
have been a proud partner of schools across Ohio for more than 25 years,
serving thousands of students via Catapult Learning’s network of
counselors, psychologists, special education instructors, nurses, aides,
and math and ELA instructors. We look forward to being able to expand
those services to meet the needs of even more students with this great
resource for Ohio families.”

This JPSN Scholarship opportunity is both rare and distinct in that it
gives parents the choice to send their children to special education
programs beyond those operated by their school district. Parents can
apply for this funding themselves. They no longer have to rely solely on
the district to contract for special services, and it empowers them to
take immediate and direct action on behalf of their child’s exceptional
needs.

There are two application periods for the scholarship annually, with the
next one running from October 1 to November 15, 2015. Parents interested
in pursuing this option can find everything they need at: http://www.education.ohio.gov/jonpeterson.
