August 26, 2016

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–CCM, the world’s most innovative hockey equipment company, is
introducing a new app designed to enhance player performance on August 26th.
Available through the Apple Store and Google Play, the CCM Skills App
will be available for free download.

Players will have the opportunity to train alongside former National
Hockey League Player and Online Hockey Training Stickhandling & Shooting
Specialist, Lance Pitlick, in a series of fun and challenging drills
that will help improve their technique on and off the ice.

Users will be invited to watch short but effective :20- to :25-second
clips demonstrating a variety of hockey drills. Afterwards, they are
invited to practice what they have watched against the backdrop of
energetic music and a timer.

“We are excited to unveil the CCM Skills App,” said Sean Williams, Vice
President Global Marketing and NA Sales, CCM Hockey. “As a brand,
we are committed to innovation and improving player performance –
whether it be through our equipment or through our unparalleled
technology. The CCM Skills App gives us a mobile platform to share a
professional training curriculum with young hockey players of all skill
levels. We know that many parents are supplementing their children’s
hockey with private coaching and lessons in order to make kids better.
Our app allows players to have a professional coach in their pocket. And
it’s free – no ice time, no fee for private instruction.”

In addition to coaching, the app also features gamification in the form
of a trophy room, as well as a player card. The achievements section
allows users to win virtual trophies based on their accomplishments in
the app. With the player card feature, athletes have the opportunity to
customize a hockey card, which they are invited to share using the
hashtag #CCMSkillsApp.

Designed in collaboration with leading mobile app developer nventive,
CCM is committed to helping those who want to improve their hockey
skills and pursue hockey long-term. With a goal of at least 10,000
downloads this year, CCM is hoping to target Mite to Bantam youth
players.
