Chicken of the Sea and Royal Thai Embassy Partner to Complete Donation to U.S. Hurricane Victims

Chicken of the Sea Completes its Second Wave of Food Donations

Providing Nearly 400,000 Servings of Shelf-Stable Seafood

of delivery of its most recent shipment of food aid in a joint effort
with the Royal Thai Embassy and the Red Cross.

“The Chicken of the Sea team has worked hand-in-hand with multiple
organizations in facilitating the transportation and distribution of the
multiple tons of shelf-stable seafood in our EZ-Open cans and pouches,
delivering important sources of protein and nutrition to people in the
hurricane devastated cities and regions throughout the United States and
Puerto Rico,” explained Valentin Ramirez, CEO of Chicken of the Sea
International. “Providing assistance in times of need is an essential
element of the heritage of the 104-year-old Chicken of the Sea brand and
one we take very seriously.”

“Communities impacted by recent hurricanes continue to recover thanks to
the generosity of donors like Chicken of the Sea. This group along with
Thai Union has helped the Red Cross provide comfort and care,” said
Linda Mathes, CEO of the American Red Cross in the National Capital
Region. “We are extremely grateful for Chicken of the Sea’s donation of
more than 150,000 servings of shelf-stable seafood for Hurricane Harvey
residents in the Houston area and more than 230,000 servings for people
in Puerto Rico, facilitated through the Royal Thai Embassy. These
coordinated efforts with such incredible partners have helped the Red
Cross respond to these horrific disasters and help the people who have
been affected by them.”

In 2016, Chicken of the Sea launched Trace
