Clark Nuber PS Named a Best Public Accounting Firm for Women and Best Firm for Leadership Equity

BELLEVUE, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Clark
Nuber PS
, a CPA and consulting firm headquartered in the Seattle
metropolitan area, has been named as a 2016 Accounting MOVE Project Best
Public Accounting Firm for Women and a Best Firm for Leadership Equity
(firms with 50 or more employees, at which women comprise at least 30%
of partners and principals).

The Accounting MOVE Project is an annual survey of leading
financial and accounting firms to determine the state of women in the
industry. The annual list released by the Accounting MOVE Project ranks
public accounting firms by their women’s initiatives, female leadership,
and driving results.

Best Public Accounting Firm for Women

This year’s survey focused on executive sponsorship, which is an
essential factor in navigating the last few steps to partnership. The
2016 Accounting MOVE Project report outlines winning sponsorship
strategies at the country’s most proactive CPA firms.

“At Clark Nuber, leadership is both ‘caught’ and ‘taught,’ which is why
the firm invests heavily in training top leaders to be effective
performance managers,” said Tracy White, Clark Nuber’s Senior Director
of Human Resources. Among the skills top leaders must master: advocating
for candidates, ferreting out the right opportunities at the right time
in candidates’ careers, and never putting career goals on automatic
pilot.

“We are honored to be included among the best accounting firms for women
nationally for the third time. Equal opportunity and advancement based
upon merit are fundamental elements of Clark Nuber’s culture and are key
to the future of the firm,” said Rob Wheeler, CEO of Clark Nuber.
