Country-Rock Group The Mavericks to Perform at SugarHouse Casino

Neo-traditional country music and Latin-rock fusion coming to The
Event Center stage

PHILADELPHIA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Grammy®-award winning artists The Mavericks will take The
Event Center stage at SugarHouse Casino on Saturday, June 10, at 9 p.m.,
performing some of their greatest hits and songs from their upcoming LP,
“Brand New Day.” The Mavericks’ sound is a neo-traditional take on
country music, combining Latin rhythms and rock roots. Tickets for the
performance go on sale Friday, March 31, and cost $49—$59.


The Mavericks—consisting of singer, song writer and guitarist Paul Malo,
Paul Deakin (drums), Eddie Perez (guitar) and Jerry Dale McFadden
(keyboard)—combine to create an eclectic sound. “Brand New Day”
showcases the band’s hybrid tones incorporating Motown notes, horn
accents and bossa nova beats.

“With the upcoming release of The Mavericks’ new album, SugarHouse
Casino will be one of the first venues where fans will hear the songs
live,” said Wendy Hamilton, general manager of the casino. “The concert
will be a mix of new music and favorite hits, with a performance sure to
rock the stage.”

Founded in 1989, The Mavericks are known for their showmanship and
exciting performances, earning recognition as some of the best
entertainers in the business. In addition to winning a Grammy®
for their song “Here Comes the Rain,” the band has achieved 14 singles
on the Billboard country charts and has won a total of five awards from
the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association.

The Mavericks will release their ninth studio album, “Brand New Day,” on
Friday, March 31, the same day tickets for their SugarHouse show go on
sale. It will be the band’s first release on its own label, Mono Mundo
Recordings.

including comedic ventriloquist Paul Zerdin (April 29) and
improvisational comedians Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood (May 13), can

of “America’s Got Talent,” while Mochrie and Sherwood are recognized for
their long careers on “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”
