DANVILLE, Ill.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Danville Lutheran School invites the community to attend student
showcases happening simultaneously at Immanuel Lutheran Church and
Trinity Lutheran Church. The events are timed to coincide with National
School Choice Week 2017.

The special church services begin at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 29 and
will include student artwork on display, students singing in the choirs,
and parents serving as greeters. Sunday School time will be dedicated to
questions and answers about school enrollment and future plans. An 8:30
breakfast will be served at Trinity.

Danville Lutheran School is a private school serving 117 students in
grades PreK – 8 that is a mission of both Immanuel Lutheran and Trinity
Lutheran churches.

The goal of the event is to celebrate great education choices in
Illinois and raise awareness among parents about school choice. The
celebration is timed to take place right after National School Choice
Week (January 22-28, 2017), which will feature more than 21,000 events
across the country.

“Danville Lutheran School is participating in National School Choice
Week because we value a parent’s freedom to choose a Christ-centered
education, delivered in a safe and academically challenging
environment,” said Kim Wright, Principal, Danville Lutheran School.

Held every January, National School Choice Week is an independent public
awareness effort designed to shine a positive spotlight on effective
education options for every child. Through more than 21,000
independently planned events across the country, National School Choice
Week raises public awareness of all types of educational choices
available to children. These options include traditional public schools,
public charter schools, public magnet schools, online learning, private
schools, parochial schools, and homeschooling. You can learn more by
