El Clásico on beIN SPORTS Dominates Ratings Claiming Top Spot as Best Performing Soccer Telecast in April
beIN SPORTS en Español Ranks #2 in Total Day Among Cable Sports

MIAMI–(BUSINESS WIRE)–beIN SPORTS announced network ratings for April, 2016, citing
international soccer as key programming which out-delivered rivals.
According to Nielsen Media Research, LaLiga’s El Clásico matchup,
which aired on both the English and Spanish networks on April 2, 2016,
delivered the top two best performing soccer matches in April, while the
match broadcast on beIN SPORTS en Español ranked as the top soccer
telecast year-to-date, regardless of language.
Due to its stellar April programming, beIN SPORTS en Español continued
to see steady gains among competing networks, ranking number two in
Total Day among Spanish Language cable sports networks year-to-date,
beating its competitors—ESPN Deportes, FOX Deportes and NBCUniverso,
respectively. The network weekend broadcasts saw continued success as
well with daytime telecasts (6a-6p), ranking #1 among its competitors
this year to date (UNID, FOXD, UVRSO & ESPD) demonstrating an increase
of +29% compared to April, 2015.

beIN SPORTS en Español’s broadcast of El Clásico which aired on
April 2, 2016 delivered 1,200,000 Total Viewers P2+ and was the best
performing soccer match in the month of April, while the match
broadcast on beIN SPORTS delivered 695,000 Total Viewers P2+, and was
the second best performer for the month. -
El Clásico on beIN SPORTS en Español ranks as the best
performing soccer match year-to-date regardless of language,
out-delivering competing broadcasts including NBC Sports’ Premier
League matches and Univision Deportes’ LIGA MX and CONCACAF telecasts. -
LaLiga broadcasts featuring FC Barcelona and Real Madrid on beIN
SPORTS saw the most successful April ratings with the following
matches ranked as the leading telecasts: El Clásico on April 2nd,
FC Barcelona vs. Real Sociedad on April 9th, FC Barcelona
vs. Sporting Gijón on April 23rd, FC Barcelona vs. Valencia
on April 17th, and Real Madrid vs. Villarreal on April 20th.
