El Diario/La Prensa’s Signature Destacadas Awards Now in its 22nd Year

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#conedison–El Diario/La Prensa, the premier publication to reach New York-area
Hispanics, will host the 22nd Annual Mujeres Destacadas
Awards Luncheon on April 28, 2017 at The Harvard Club of New York
honoring 20 outstanding women and leaders. Previous recipients of the
award have come from the world of business, government, non-profit and
entertainment, and have all reached a level of distinction due to their
hard work and determination.

women that are paving the way for future generations of Latina women,”

Among this year’s honorees are Yolanda Vásquez, Emmy winner reporter for
Telemundo 47, Damaris Martinez, partner in one of the most prestigious
law firns in the City, Cravath, Swaine & Moore, Sandra González, Senior
Counsel at Goya Foods and Director of the Office for New Americans of
the State of New York, Laura González. The awards program includes Lynda
Baquero Consumer Reporter from NBC 4 NY known as “Better Get Baquero” as
master of ceremony.

Past honorees include: Supreme Court Justice, Sonia Sotomayor, Former
New York Secretary of State, Loraine Cortez-Vazquez, actors, Ana Ortiz
and Lauren Velez and TV Host Daisy Fuentes.
