Faulkner County Nonprofit Receives $16K Grant from FHLB Dallas and First Service Bank

Deliver Hope Will Use Grant to Support At-Risk Youth Program Hope House

CONWAY, Ark.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Deliver Hope today received a $16,000 Partnership Grant Program (PGP)
award from First Service Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas
(FHLB Dallas). The funds will be used for operating expenses to support
one of its four initiatives, Hope House, which provides services to
youth between the ages of 18 and 21 who have aged out of foster care.

Established in 2013, Deliver Hope provides ministry and self-improvement
services to at-risk youth between the ages of 13 and 21 in Faulkner
County, Arkansas, through four programs: Juvenile Justice Ministry,
Mentoring, Her Hope, and Hope House.

Conway Mayor Tab Townsell applauded FHLB Dallas and First Service Bank
for facilitating access of self-improvement services to Faulkner
County-area at-risk youth. “The Partnership Grant Program is an
excellent vehicle through which great change can occur,” said Mayor
Townsell.

PGP grants are offered annually through FHLB Dallas’ member institutions
via a lottery system. Funds may be used for research, organizational
capacity-building, grant- and funding-application assistance, or
contractual services.

Deliver Hope Founder and Executive Director Daniel Tyler said the grant
will help his clients in more ways than one.

“The grant will help us strengthen our programs for at-risk youth,
specifically our Hope House program,” Mr. Tyler said. “Thanks to this
financial investment, homeless youth will be afforded not only resources
to excel but also a safe place to call home.”

Through the PGP, member institutions contribute $500 up to $4,000 to a
community-based organization (CBO). FHLB Dallas matches the
contributions at a 3:1 ratio, which provide up to $12,000 in grant money
to a CBO. In 2016, FHLB Dallas awarded $225,000 in PGP funds to assist
23 CBOs. Combined with the $96,200 from member institutions, a total of
$321,200 was awarded this year.

“First Service Bank is proud to support the work of Deliver Hope through
the PGP,” said First Service Bank Conway Market President Lori Case
Melton. “We believe in the work Deliver Hope does to benefit the
under-served youth of Faulkner County.”

FHLB Dallas Vice President and Affordable Housing Program Manager Bruce
Hatton said the PGP showcases the power of partnership between FHLB
Dallas and member institutions.

“We’re proud to support First Service Bank and the work of Deliver Hope
through the PGP,” Mr. Hatton said. “In partnering with FHLB Dallas,
First Service Bank is providing added value to their partnership with
Deliver Hope and in effect the greater community.”
