Fyusion Advances Mobile Image Capturing with Launch of Fyuse 3.0

New Technology Provides Industry-First 3D Tagging Feature and First
True Visual Engagement Metric

SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Fyusion, a developer of innovative 3D imaging technologies, today
announced the launch of the 3.0 version of its popular app Fyuse, a
spatial photography app that allows anyone with a smartphone to capture
3D images. Built to fundamentally change the way people capture mobile
images, Fyuse 3.0 features a completely overhauled user interface with
more seamless, smooth image renderings, industry-first 3D tagging,
advanced engagement tracking and more, and is now available for both iOS
and Android for the first time.

“Fyuse is an innovative technology that bridges the gap between static
2D images and full-fledged video, and 3.0 really provides a more
immersive, customizable experience for both creator and viewer,” said
Radu B. Rusu, CEO and cofounder of Fyusion. “We’re changing the way
people view the world, and believe that Fyuse 3.0 really raises the bar
for what’s possible in the image-capture industry.”

With space-capturing capabilities, Fyuse creates 3D images that go
beyond a photo to smoothly capture the depth, details and movement of
the moment and allows users to view and interact with these moments at
different speeds, angles and spatial depths. Users create fyuses by
moving their mobile devices around an object, person or scene, allowing
the image to be viewed from different angles up to 360 degrees simply by
tilting their phones. Fyuses can be exported to a number of other social
media as well, including Facebook and Twitter, and can be embedded on
the web.

Among the 3.0 updates, users will notice new features to track
engagement. Instead of simply seeing who has “liked” a fyuse, users can
now also see how many times a fyuse has been tilted. A “tilt” is
measured when the user actively engages with the fyuse on screen by
swiping or tilting the phone; this engagement measurement lets users
more accurately grasp how people are interacting with their images.

“In the same way Vine measures loops, Fyuse’s introduction of tilts
provides a truly transparent metric for consumers,” said Rusu. “It’s a
much truer measure of engagement than typical video views on Facebook or
YouTube because it directly correlates to an action by the user.”

Fyuse is also introducing a first-of-its-kind 3D tagging feature, which
will allow the user to tag people, objects and landmarks in 3D and add
eye-catching spatial annotations. Other features that will be available
on Fyuse 3.0 include: ability to add filters and 3D stickers to fyuses;
Force Touch capabilities for iOS 9; an improved chat portal (including
the ability for users block spam accounts); faster compression speeds;
more advanced tutorials and shooting options, and more.
