GEICO Gecko theatre presents Midweek Matinee series for students at Prince George’s County Publick Playhouse
WASHINGTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The GEICO Gecko Midweek Matinee series for youngsters is back by popular
demand for its fifth year at the Prince George’s County Publick
Playhouse.
Sponsored by a $30,000 GEICO Philanthropic Foundation grant, Prince
George’s County makes the series of eight plays available free of charge
to students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience
the magic of live theatre.
“GEICO’s Philanthropic Foundation is excited to continue our partnership
with the Prince George’s County Publick Playhouse,” said GEICO Senior
Vice President Seth Ingall. “We believe it is important to support the
arts and encourage students to get excited about learning through
cultural and educational experiences.”
GEICO presented the Publick Playhouse with the $30,000 grant donation at
a recent live showing of “Seasons Greeting.” GEICO representatives,
along with Prince George’s County dignitaries and officials were in
attendance to celebrate the occasion.

- Monday, March 14, 2016: Upcycled Cinderella
- Thursday, April 21, 2016: “Butterfly: The Story of a Life Cycle”
- Monday, May 9, 2016: “My Heart in a Suitcase”
