Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: GK) has introduced a new
scholarship program, called GKscholars, to benefit the dependent
children of the company’s employees as they pursue college degrees. In
its initial year the GKscholars program will award up to 10 scholarships
to students attending college in the 2016-2017 school year. The
GKscholars program will be funded by donations from G&K’s employees
through the company’s GKgives charitable giving program, along with
contributions from the G&K Services Foundation.
“I’m excited to introduce GKscholars, a great new program to help our
employees and their families,” said Douglas A. Milroy, Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer. “It’s especially gratifying that this program
will largely be funded through the generosity of G&K’s employees, coming
together to help the children of our co-workers advance their education.”
G&K’s employees and the G&K Services Foundation have a long history of
generosity. The Foundation’s mission is “Building Communities that
Work”, supporting charitable organizations that help meet the basic
human and educational needs of people in the communities where G&K does
business. To learn more about the G&K Services Foundation and the
