Herbalife Family Foundation Donation Improves Healthy Nutrition Options for More Children in Mexico

The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF), a non-profit organization committed to helping vulnerable children has announced a new Casa Herbalife program in Mexico.

The new program will support Albergue Los Angeles A.C., a non-profit organization in San Luis Potosi, Mexico that brings shelter, education and good nutritional habits to young girls in a part of the country where poverty runs rampant. Through the organization’s efforts, young girls receive the tools they need to make meaningful contributions to society.

The Herbalife Family Foundation will make an initial financial grant of nearly $14,000, which will be used to increase the center’s healthy eating options and overall quality of nutritional products made available to children. The center will also be able to upgrade some of its kitchen equipment. In addition to the financial donation, HFF will provide access to a regular supply of Herbalife® Kids’ Shake, a food product with protein, vitamins, and minerals—nutrients children need.

The Casa Herbalife program is HFF’s flagship nutrition program, which offers grants to non-profit organizations that provide supportive, social services to underprivileged children around the world in the areas of nutrition education, kitchen reconstructions, meals and other programs that support children’s good nutrition.

The Casa Herbalife program was established in 2005, to help bring good nutrition to children living in orphanages, after school centers, and other non-profit facilities. After the initial financial grants made by HFF, the organizations receive local financial and volunteer support from Herbalife independent distributors, as well as corporate employees.
