IN 16 DAYS, San Bernardino Mayor and GoFundMe Reach Fundraising Goal – $100,000 Raised for Victims and Families in TRAGIC SHOOTING

MENLO PARK, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Just sixteen days ago, the Mayor and Common Council of San Bernardino
established an official trust fund with GoFundMe to be distributed among
the victims and their families affected by the December 2, 2015 tragedy.
In that short time, the fundraising goal of $100,000 was reached.

“By working with Mayor Carey Davis, GoFundMe was able to leverage our
platform and network not just to mobilize people quickly, but centralize
the efforts to ensure every cent raised goes to those that need it most
– the victims of this senseless act and their families,” said Rob
Solomon, CEO of GoFundMe. “This is an impactful example of empowering
people to help others.”

GoFundMe and its payment processors waived the fees for this campaign.
