Iron Mountain’s John Tomovcsik Recognized as Leading LGBT Ally by the OUTstanding Professional Network in Partnership with the Financial Times

BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Iron
Mountain Incorporated
® (NYSE:IRM), the global leader in storage and
information management services, today announced that John “JT”
Tomovcsik has been named to the OUTstanding LGBT Leading Ally Executive
list. Tomovcsik, executive vice president and general manager for
Records Management, North America at Iron Mountain, was recognized for
his support of and efforts to improve the working environment for LGBT
people in the workplace.

Tomovcsik has personally sponsored and led efforts at Iron Mountain to
support and embrace LGBT employees and causes. As a member of Iron
Mountain’s senior leadership team, he serves as the co-executive sponsor
for the company’s LGBT employee resource group, which launched in 2015
and has 140+ members committed to supporting an inclusive culture where
LGBT employees and their allies can feel valued, connected and safe to
be their true selves. Tomovcsik also has played a leading role in
promoting Iron Mountain’s advocacy and support for its LGBT employee
population, including extending health plan coverage for gender
reassignment surgery, company participation in four Pride Parades,
company-wide support of LGBT National Coming Out Day, and joining
business coalitions advocating LGBT equality.

“I’m honored to be recognized as an ally for Iron Mountain’s commitment
to LGBT equality for our employees and the communities where we live and
work,” said Tomovcsik. “In my career, I have always strived to build a
culture and teams where every employee can prosper. When employees feel
comfortable being themselves in their work environment, they are more
energized, engaged and productive, and more likely to stay and grow
within our company. And that, in turn, supports the growth and success
of our business.”

All of the 2016 Leading role models were nominated by peers and
colleagues, with those nominations then reviewed by OUTstanding’s
judging panel consisting of LGBT+ advocates from the world of business,
academics and journalism. Each nominee was scored on the seniority and
influence of their role, their impact on LGBT+ inclusion inside and
outside the workplace and their business achievements. The complete list

said CEO and founder of OUTstanding, Suki Sandhu. “By recognizing the
impact of those who are leading the charge, the OUTstanding Leading
LGBT+ & Ally Executives and LGBT+ Future Leaders Lists continue to
inspire both businesses and individuals to drive LGBT+ equality forward.
