iTOK Becomes Bask Technology, Sharpens Focus on Underserved Senior Market

Member survey data informs new brand, logo & website.

LEHI, Utah–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Bask Technology Inc., one of the nation’s leading providers of managed
tech services, has unveiled its new brand and redesigned website. The
rebrand represents a new chapter in the company’s growth, with a sharper
focus on its members and a warmer personality to match its friendly,
expert Technology Advisors.

Founded in 2004 as iTOK, Inc., Bask provides remote technology support
for connected families, homes, and small businesses. From privacy
protection to online data backup, its innovative subscription service
provides peace of mind to tens of thousands of members worldwide. While
the rebrand sets the stage for increased growth and national
recognition, the company’s core purpose remains the same: to build
trusted relationships with its members with remarkable advice, safety
and support for the technology in their lives.

The company’s new strategy and focus is bolstered by survey data
collected from its member base, which found that 81 percent of
seniors would use technology more often if they had someone on-call to
assist them. The survey also revealed the following:

  • 85 percent of respondents agree technology can help them live longer
in their own homes (aging in place).
  • 39 percent of respondents feel only somewhat connected or not at all
    connected to their families.
  • Among those who don’t feel connected, 78 percent agree that technology
    could help them connect more.

“Seniors believe technology can help them stay connected and
independent, but they need a trustworthy support line to learn the ins
and outs of new technology,” said James P. Dunn, CEO of Bask. “At Bask,
we’re building on a decade of experience of helping people enjoy their
tech. Learning anything new can be intimidating, so we offer our members
patient and savvy support that empowers them to stay connected and
protect their digital data.”

“There is a tremendous opportunity for companies to address the growing
gap between technologically advanced Millennials and an aging population
of Boomers who feel left behind as the digital world evolves.” Dunn
continues, “These findings prove that many seniors want to use
technology, but they need authentic, comprehensive support. Backed by a
U.S. based work force and a focus on reliability and ease of use, Bask
can better engage with seniors and provide support to this important
market.”
