Kandee Johnson to Host the 2016 NYX FACE Awards in Los Angeles August 20th to Award and Name the Beauty Vlogger of the Year with $50,000
LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#FaceAwards2016–NYX Cosmetics has announced that Kandee Johnson, YouTube and beauty
guru, will host its fifth annual NYX Fine Artistry of Cosmetic Elites
(FACE) Awards show at Club Nokia at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California
on August 20th, 2016. This year’s show will feature an
all-star group of judges composed of beauty industry insiders and
leading makeup artists. Makeup artist and YouTube guru, Charismastar
will Emcee the NYX FACE Awards 2016 competition. This year the judges
will be: Ve Neill, Academy-Award winning makeup artist; Melissa
Giannini, Editor-in-chief of NYLON; and Megan McIntyre, Beauty Director
at Refinery29 and more.
Currently underway, the NYX FACE Awards have already announced the top
30 finalists who are vying for the title of Beauty Vlogger of the Year.
The winner will receive $50,000, consultations with pro makeup artists,
and a year’s supply of NYX Cosmetics and the promise of a flourishing
professional career in makeup artistry. In addition to the Grand Prize
winner, the five runner-ups will each receive $15,000. Determined by
public voting at nyxfaceawards.com, the top 30 will create videos with
makeup tutorials inspired by the next NYX FACE Awards challenge themes.

On May 30th, 2016 the top 30 will be narrowed down to 20
finalists who will be asked to complete a series of themed challenges.
Thereafter, the judges will announce the top 6 in late July, and one of
those artists will be named the Beauty Vlogger of the Year during the
NYX FACE Awards 2016 competition on August 20th. The
competition will be live-streamed at nyxfaceawards.com and on the
official NYX YouTube channel. The fifth annual NYX FACE Awards 2016
competition will also feature surprise celebrity guests and beauty
industry favorites.
Over the last five years the NYX FACE awards have grown to become one of
