Life Wireless Doubles Subscriber Minutes Nationwide

Leading Lifeline carrier helps low-income Americans stay connected
to family, doctors, employers and emergency services

COVINGTON, Ga.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Life Wireless announces it is doubling available minutes for its
subscribers nationwide. It will now provide 500 free minutes per month
of subsidized cellphone service to eligible low-income residents in the
29 states in which it operates, including Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands
(excluding California and Oklahoma, where calling plans are unlimited).
This industry-leading plan is effective for the duration of the
subscriber’s service.

“In doubling minutes for our subscribers, we are exceeding the industry
standard to reflect our commitment to offering the best service
possible,” said William Curry, president of Life Wireless. “We are
dedicated to ensuring our subscribers have access to doctors, family
members, emergency service providers, as well as employers and other
critical contacts.”

Life Wireless provides phone service through the federal Lifeline
program, created by Congress in 1985 to ensure that all Americans have
access to quality telephone service. To be eligible for the Lifeline
program, potential subscribers must take part in a federal assistance
program such as Medicaid or Food Stamps, or earn no more than 135
percent of the federal poverty level. Subscribers may not receive
service from more than one Lifeline carrier at the same time.

Life Wireless is committed to preserving the integrity of the federal
Lifeline program. It delivers affordable telephone service to eligible
low-income families and individuals, and performs extensive checks to
verify subscribers qualify, as well as extensive representative training
and oversight to ensure that company policies are upheld.
