MISSION BBQ Opens Doors at The Shoppes at Parma
Special events held for community
PARMA, Ohio–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#RETAILTRANSFORMED–PECO Real Estate Partners (PREP) is pleased to announce that MISSION BBQ
is opening at The Shoppes at Parma on November 7, bringing delicious
barbecue along with several charity preview events to support members of
the Armed Forces and local police and fire services. The new restaurant
fronts West Ridgewood Drive, in front of Dick’s Sporting Goods, Gordmans
and the Walmart Supercenter.
Founded by BBQ enthusiasts Bill Kraus and Steve Newton in 2011, MISSION
BBQ now has 39 locations in 11 states offering authentic BBQ made from
the freshest ingredients. The Shoppes at Parma is just the second
location in Ohio, the first being in Canton. Cleveland Browns starting
left tackle Joe Thomas is a partner in both Ohio locations.
In advance of the official opening, MISSION BBQ is holding several
private preview charity events where 100 percent of all sales will be
donated to local organizations. The charity night celebrations will
include military vehicles, police vehicles and fire department trucks on
site with festivities to show gratitude to first responders in Parma.
Charity plans include Appreciation Night for the Parma Fire Department
and their family and friends on November 2, where all sales at this
private event will be contributed to Local
639 of the International Association of Fire Fighters. An
Appreciation Night for the Parma Police Department and their
family and friends will take place on November 3, where all sales at
this private event will be contributed to the Parma Police Department’s
charity, Friends
of the Parma Police.
Friday, November 4 from 5 – 9 p.m. is Military Appreciation night.
The public is invited to this event but must RSVP to the restaurant to

All sales will be contributed to the USO
of Northern Ohio.
The local community and media are invited to attend the official MISSION
BBQ Grand Opening, which will be held on Monday, November 7 at 12
noon. The celebration will begin with a performance of the National
Anthem and presentation of colors by a Color Guard, followed by a
ribbon-cutting ceremony.
