Moonbot Studios Brings The Numberlys to Amazon’s 2015 Fall Kids Pilot Lineup

SHREVEPORT, La.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Numberlys will join Amazon Video’s lineup of new kids pilots
for its 2015 fall pilot season, debuting on November 5th, exclusively on
Amazon Video in the US, UK, Germany, Austria and Japan. Moonbot Studios
first introduced The Numberlys as a Webby Award-winning app in
2012, followed by a bestselling picture book and festival favorite short
film in 2014. The property is Moonbot’s second multi-platform story,
crafted after the success of the studio’s Academy Award®-winning The
Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore
.

The whimsical world of The Numberlys was expanded for the Amazon
Video pilot, taking the original group of five best friends on new
adventures. One day, they discover something they’ve never seen before—a
tiny sprout in their concrete and metal city. Though they don’t know
what it is, they decide to protect this unique little thing against all
obstacles. Through invention, stumbles and bumbles, they help the sprout
become a beautiful tree, making a lasting, joyful change in their world. The
Numberlys
encourages children to think beyond the way things are
always done and to imagine the way things could be in their world.

The Numberlys is Moonbot’s most elaborate homage to the grandeur
and power of classic cinema. But, for kids! And parents! For everybody!
This pilot is an exciting step forward not only for our Numberly friends
but also for our hardworking team here in Shreveport, Louisiana,” said
William Joyce, who created The Numberlys with Moonbot Studios
partners Brandon Oldenburg and Lampton Enochs, who executive produced.
The pilot was written by Emmy® winner Joe Fallon (Between the Lions,
Arthur
), and directed by Saul Blinkoff (Doc McStuffins, Kronk’s
New Groove
).

“Every once in awhile, an opportunity comes along to create something
that is truly unique and captures the imagination. I was constantly
inspired by the level of commitment and hard work invested into The
Numberlys
by everyone at Moonbot Studios,” said Saul Blinkoff. “Our
eccentric and diverse group of Numberlys are excited by the possibility
of change, innovation and are always looking to discover new ideas to
enhance their world! It was extremely important to me to find subtle
acting moments for our pre-school audience to relate to the Numberlys’
emotions.”

Amazon customers will once again be invited to watch and provide
feedback on the shows they want to see turned into full series for Prime
members. All pilots will be available via the Amazon Video app for TVs,
connected devices and mobile devices, or online at Amazon.com/amazonvideo.
