Mount Paran Christian School Welcomes Stephanie Dunn as New High School Varsity Girls Basketball Coach

Current NCAA National Committee Regional Chairperson for the South
Region and previous Head Women’s Basketball Coach and Assistant to the
Sports Information Director at Berry College

KENNESAW, Ga.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#Christian–Mount Paran Christian School (MPCS), a private Christian school in Cobb
County, is pleased to announce and welcome the NCAA National Committee
Regional Chairperson for the South Region, previous Head Women’s
Basketball Coach and Assistant to the Sports Information Director at
Berry College in Rome, Georgia, Stephanie Dunn, as the new Assistant
Director of Admission and the new High School Varsity Girls Basketball
Coach.

Stephanie brings an impressive high school and college coaching resume
to the MPCS athletics program. For the past six years, she has been the
Head Women’s Basketball Coach and Assistant to the Sports Information
Director at Berry College in Mount Berry, Georgia. Prior to her time at
Berry College, she was Associate Director of Admission and Head Girls
Basketball Coach at St. Pius X High School in Atlanta. While there, she
led her team to three state championships, six region championships, and
assisted with signing numerous student-athletes to Division I, II, and
III collegiate basketball programs around the country. She began her
career as a player at the University of Georgia, competing in the Final
Four under Coach Andy Landers.

As a Head Women’s Basketball Coach at the collegiate level, Dunn has
extensive experience with team-building, managing budgets, camps,
scouting, and recruiting nationally. She currently serves as the NCAA
National Committee Regional Chairperson for the south region. In this
role she oversees the Regional Committee and NCAA South Region National
Rankings at the Division III level.

“Stephanie has a proven track record of building and leading successful
high school and college basketball programs. She also has an
understanding and appreciation for what it means to be a complete
student-athlete,” Mitch Jordan, MPCS Athletic Director, said. “We want
to win on the court, but most importantly, we try to develop the whole
person. At the core is the student-athlete’s relationship with Christ.
MPC is developing future leaders. Stephanie fully embraces this
philosophy as a coach and leader.”

While at St. Pius X Catholic High School, Stephanie was the Associate
Admissions Director where she recruited students from the metro Atlanta
area, managed families throughout the application process, planned
admissions events, served as leadership on scholarship committees and
networked with college admission recruiters. In addition to admissions
experience, she brings to Mount Paran Christian skill sets in the areas
of development, marketing, and athletic promotions.

“Stephanie will be a tremendous asset to our Admission team, to our
athletics program, and to all the students and families with whom she
will work,” said MPCS Headmaster, Dr. David Tilley. “She joins us with a
strong faith, a heart for service, admission and public relations
skills, and the unique Christian leadership needed to mentor young
ladies through high school and in preparation for life.”
