National ACE Names New President and CEO

WASHINGTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Asian & Pacific Islander American Chamber of Commerce &
Entrepreneurship (National ACE) is pleased to announce that Chiling Tong
will be assuming the role of its President and Chief Executive Officer,
effective January 1, 2017.

Based in Washington, D.C., Ms. Tong will represent the interests of the
Asian-American business community by articulating the positions and
policy views of National ACE to lawmakers, business leaders and partners
throughout the country.

In 2000, Ms. Tong founded the International Leadership Foundation (ILF),
a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to develop young
leaders in entrepreneurship, international relations and public affairs
focused on America and the Pacific Rim countries. As ILF’s Chief
Executive Officer for the past 16 years, Ms. Tong has a demonstrated
record of success in advocating for Asian-American economic and policy
interests in the nation’s capital and maintains strong professional and
personal relationships in government and in business.

Ms. Tong has more than 20 years of domestic and international experience
in economic and business development issues. She was formerly chief of
staff and associate director of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s
Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), the Deputy Assistant
Secretary for Asia and the Pacific at the International Trade
Administration, and served as a member of the National Advisory Council
on Minority Business Enterprises.
