“National Jump in Muddy Puddles Day” (April 1st) Encourages Kids to Jump in Puddles and Get Messy in Honor of Those Who Can’t
Sign up for a Welly Walk Fundraiser for a chance to meet Peppa Pig
NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#Children–April showers eventually bring May flowers… but, they also bring muddy
puddles! That’s why the founders of the Muddy Puddles Project have
declared April 1st “National Jump in Muddy Puddles Day,” kicking-off a
season of special events featuring Entertainment One’s (eOne) popular
preschool TV property, Peppa Pig.
The Muddy Puddles Project is a fundraising platform for the Ty Louis
Campbell (TLC) Foundation, a certified nonprofit that funds pediatric
cancer research. The project was inspired by Ty, a little boy who loved Peppa
Pig and dreamed of jumping in muddy puddles when his cancer was
cured but he never got the chance. The Muddy Puddles Project has since
been named an official charity partner for Peppa Pig in the U.S.
To celebrate National Jump in Muddy Puddles Day on April 1st,
The Muddy Puddles Project is kicking off various activities, including:
-
Party with Peppa at Somers Sports
Arena (Somers, NY) is a fun-filled afternoon on April 1, 2017 from
12:30 – 3pm (EST) where children will have the opportunity to meet
Peppa herself, along with other great activities such as magic, slime
time, mad science, puppet shows, arts and crafts, sensory activities,
face painting, balloon animals and a gaga pit. GET
TICKETS HERE. -
Register to host a “Welly Walk” Fundraiser
for a chance to win a meet-and-greet with Peppa Pig! Welly walks are a
fun and exciting way to explore the outdoors while wearing wellies and
rain slickers – rain or shine! We are looking for participants to join
Peppa and support the Muddy Puddles Project by hosting a Welly Walk
fundraiser at their school or club during the month of April. This
activity is an opportunity to explore nature with younger participants
and incorporate learning opportunities along the way! CLICK
HERE to register and download everything you need for a successful
event.
-
The “Muddy Puddle Jump Challenge” on social
media. We’re asking families coast-to-coast to post photos
and videos of themselves jumping in a “muddy puddle” on National Jump
in Muddy Puddles Day (and throughout April) to show their support for
the charity and this special day. Participants are asked to share a
photo and/or video on their social pages in April with the hashtag
#PeppaMuddyPuddleChallenge.
