Nelson Brothers Offers Thousands in USU Housing Scholarships

Nelson Brothers is offering Utah State University students the
opportunity for subsidized student housing at their 900 Factory property
in Logan, Utah.

LOGAN, Utah–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#900ScholarshipNelson
recently announced plans to help ease a few Utah State
University students’ financial burdens next year by providing housing
scholarships. The scholarships will go toward free or reduced housing at
the company’s 900 Factory property, located less than half a mile from
the university’s campus. Nelson Brothers views this scholarship as a way
to give back and support local students.

experience possible during their time at USU, as well as ease some of
their financial stress.”

In total, Nelson Brothers will provide five scholarships. The awards
include the following:

  • 1st place: Full Housing Scholarship for 1 year
  • 2nd place: $1500 Housing Scholarship
  • 3rd place: $1000 Housing Scholarship
  • 4th place: $800 Housing Scholarship
  • 5th place: $500 Housing Scholarship

Students can apply by writing a one-page essay outlining what a housing
scholarship at 900 Factory would mean to them throughout their college
experience at USU. The scholarship guidelines ask students to answer
prompts such as personal achievements or life experiences that bring
special meaning to their desire to live at 900 Factory.

Essay applications should be submitted by email to
by June 4, 2016. While supplies last, students who apply by April 25
will receive a $25 cash card just for applying. Once submitted, essays
will be reviewed, approved, and posted anonymously on the community
Facebook page. Essays receiving the most likes will be awarded

appeals to students’ lifestyles by offering amenities such
as an exercise facility, double-decker hot tub, bowling alley, washer
and dryer in each unit, barbecue, and high-speed Internet.
