Company Showcases Innovative Products from Recent Acquisitions

CHARLOTTE, N.C.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–With recent announcements of four acquisitions and an agreement to
purchase a fifth company, JELD-WEN demonstrated its commitment to
aggressive growth and core innovation worldwide. The acquisitions
represent best-in-class products and brands in the window and door
category to complement the company’s existing portfolio of
industry-leading building solutions.

“Across the board, we’re committed to product excellence. We’re
investing in training, new product development and acquisitions, which
has been an important part of the company’s history for growth and is
also a sign of the healthy state of the company,” said Jim Parello, Vice
President of Marketing for JELD-WEN. “Our acquisition strategy is to
complement our core business by acquiring businesses that enhance our
market leading positions and provide a superior portfolio of products to
our customers.”

Acquisition Line-Up

On display at the 2016 International Builders’ Show (IBS), JELD-WEN
debuted innovative products from its recent acquisitions, such as:

  • LaCantina Doors – A LaCantina™ clad-wood multislide door
featuring fir with a four-panel design showcased the brand’s
award-winning reputation for folding and multislide door system
solutions in both residential and commercial markets.

The launch of the new LaCantina Vinyl Folding Door System brings high
quality contemporary styling to the vinyl door market. Designed to
appeal to the needs of a broader market, LaCantina’s Vinyl System
performs well in all environments, matches popular vinyl window packages
and is the ideal solution for home renovations and new construction.

A LaCantina new pivot door with sashless window sidelites, based on
technology from Australian sashless market leader Aneeta Windows –
another recent acquisition by JELD-WEN.

  • Karona – A contemporary-style birch door with a narrow six-lite
design from Karona featured the brand’s high quality and technical
capabilities for a wide range of stile and rail doors in residential
    and commercial markets.

The company most recently announced an agreement to acquire TREND
Windows & Doors, a leading manufacturer in Australia. Upon closing,
anticipated in the first quarter of 2016, the transaction will be the
fifth acquisition for JELD-WEN in recent months and the second
acquisition in Australia.

Other recent acquisitions from JELD-WEN include Aneeta, an Australian
manufacturer of sashless window systems, and Dooria, a provider of
residential and commercial wood doors in the Swedish and Norwegian
