Orange County Church and Preschool to Cut Water Use by 50% Through New Sustainable Landscape Transformation Project

–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#25WaystoSave–In response to the drought, a coalition of partners and volunteers has
transformed a community church and preschool in Orange County into a
model of water-efficiency and sustainable landscaping that will save
more than 500,000 gallons of water annually. The Honorable Tony Beall,
Mayor of Rancho Santa Margarita, will be presenting a recognition
certificate to the church. The new landscape and water-saving
technologies will be unveiled along a quick tour of the new native
plants, wildflowers and hummingbird habitats.

July is Smart Irrigation Month and with summer heat approaching,
residents and property owners can learn multiple ways to cut back
their water use while still enjoying a beautiful landscape. School
children at the site will soon be chasing butterflies and
hummingbirds while learning about native plants and conservation.
