PLMA Show 2015: U.S. Alliance Paper Receives Green Light From Rainforest Alliance

CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–U.S. Alliance Paper, a leading private label manufacturer of household
paper products, announced that it has successfully met the Forest
Stewardship Council^® (FSC^®) certification
standards. The Company will begin displaying the Rainforest Alliance
Certified™ and FSC seals on its products.

Studies¹ suggest that while more than 80% of U.S. consumers
identify with “green purchasing” in one form another, a large number of
them have credibility concerns or are confused about terminology. “FSC
is a worldwide organization that defines a strict set of standards that
have to be met in order to display its seal,” said John Sarraf,
President. “Independent Chain-of-Custody (CoC) compliance audits assure
us that our suppliers adhere to responsible forest management
principles, and allow our retail partners and their consumers to
confidently make the right choices for the environment.”
