PrescribeWellness Extends Contract With EPIC Pharmacy Network
Encourages Community Pharmacies to Offer Medicare Plan Reviews to
Eligible Seniors
IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#adherence—PrescribeWellness,
the cloud-based services company whose mission is to inspire
collaboration for better health, announced an extension of their
partnership with EPIC Pharmacy Network, Inc. (EPN), a pharmacy services
administrative organization representing over 1,800 independent
pharmacies across the United States.
The multi-year extension continues and expands the successful
partnership between the two companies.

In addition to the contract extension, EPN also contracted
PrescribeMedicare for its network members from now until September 2017.
PrescribeMedicare is a PrescribeWellness solution that evaluates
Medicare plans for a pharmacy’s eligible seniors. By syncing with the
pharmacy’s dispensing system, the software takes the patient’s current
medications and evaluates the medication costs with the various Medicare
plans that are available to them. It provides a simple comparison that
allows the Medicare-eligible patient to effectively understand their
options.
The companies will collaborate to train network members on
PrescribeMedicare and inform the pharmacies’ patients of the services
that are available.
