Puffs Now Makes it Easier For Consumers to Choose Responsibly Sourced Facial Tissues

New On-Pack Seal Communicates Puff’s Partnership with Forest
Stewardship Council and Rainforest Alliance

CINCINNATI–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Puffs strengthens its commitment to responsible forestry management by
earning and labeling Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certification on
all of its facial tissue paper products. Consumers can now find the FSC
and Rainforest Alliance CertifiedTM seals on-pack ensuring
that one hundred percent of the virgin fiber sourced for Puffs comes
from responsibly managed sources. The dual Rainforest Alliance and FSC
seals communicate to consumers that the sustainable sourcing was
certified to FSC standards by the Rainforest Alliance.

“To secure a future for our planet, P&G knows how critical it is to
preserve our world’s forests. Our partnerships with Forest Stewardship
Council and the Rainforest Alliance ensure that the tree fibers used in
our products, like Puffs and Charmin, come from responsibly managed
forests while still delivering the superior product experience our
consumers expect,” said Tonia Elrod, Director, Family Care
Communications & Sustainability. “By adding Puffs products to our roster
of certified paper products alongside Charmin, it is our goal to
continue to deliver on our commitments to responsible forestry.”

“We applaud Procter & Gamble for making its iconic Puffs tissue products
FSC-certified,” said Corey Brinkema, president of the Forest Stewardship
Council US. “This accomplishment is a tribute to their hard work, which
includes efforts with partners to add 500,000 acres of FSC-certified
forest in the Southeastern US,” he added.

P&G knows that consumers today strive to be environmentally friendly and
Puffs is proud to share information and insights online on its approach
to responsible papermaking to empower its consumers to do the same to
make informed decisions.

“P&G sets an example of environmental and social responsibility for
other companies and for their millions of customers, helping drive both
supply and demand for sustainably sourced facial tissue products,” said
Richard Donovan, Rainforest Alliance senior vice president and president
of forestry. “The Rainforest Alliance is proud to partner with P&G and
the Puffs brand in their commitment to source from responsibly-managed
