Red Roof Inn®, a leader in economy lodging, is hitting the road this summer. Their custom-made semi-truck is introducing its remodeled NextGen® rooms to customers across the U.S. and Canada. The next stop? Chicago’s Grant Park for the 33rd Annual Taste of Chicago food festival. Starting July 10, the NextGen truck will welcome the 2,000,000+ visitors attending the five-day food and entertainment festival.

The Red Roof truck features a complete hotel room that is a perfect replica of a NextGen room: modern furniture, wood-like floors, additional electrical outlets, flat screen TVs, ergonomic chairs and much more. With NextGen, modern convenience meets great price; it’s exactly what customers are looking for. Taste of Chicago visitors will be able to step in, step up and stroll around the room to see all they’ll experience in a NextGen room.

In conjunction with the truck tour stop, Red Roof has partnered with Spanish-language radio station WLEY for a two-day promotion during the festival. On July 12 from 3-7 pm, Raul “La Bola” Bernal will broadcast live from the Red Roof truck at the Taste of Chicago. On 7/13 from 12-2 pm, the remote broadcast will include live call-ins. Listeners will be encouraged to come by and experience the new redesigned NextGen room and take photos with “La Bola” on Friday and other WLEY DJs on Saturday. La Bola will give away VIP Certificates for Red Roof stays on his show and during the live broadcast and during his show the week prior.

In celebration of Red Roof’s 40th anniversary, the company has not only hit the road, showing off their re-imagined and updated rooms via their mobile truck but are holding contests and giveaways at properties across the country culminating in a $40,000 giveaway in October.
