Reliant Offers Summer Relief with Beat the Heat Centers, Assistance Programs
When the Texas sun is at its hottest, individuals and families can turn to Reliant for summer assistance programs announced today, including Reliant Beat the Heat Centers in Houston, Dallas and Corpus Christi, bill payment assistance, and flexible payment options. The Reliant Beat the Heat Centers are available to all residents, and energy assistance is available to qualifying, low-income Reliant customers.

From the Beat the Heat Centers in Houston, Dallas and Corpus Christi to personalized recommendations and alerts, we provide customers products and services that give them options that best fit their lifestyles during the heat of summer.
Beat the Heat Centers are open now until October 4th. In addition to air-conditioned spaces, the centers will offer adult and youth activities and snacks. This is the eighth consecutive year Reliant has supported centers in Houston and the fourth consecutive year in Corpus Christi and Dallas.

In addition to the Beat the Heat Centers, other summer assistance programs are available to qualified low-income residential customers including nearly $800,000 to assist seniors and low-income residential customers pay their electricity bills through CARE (Community Assistance from Reliant Energy), deposit installment plans, payment extensions and deferred payment plans.
Average billing can also help consumers manage payments during the hottest months and Reliant also has dedicated customer service agents available to help individuals who may need help identifying social agencies that can provide assistance with electricity bills.
