Shegerian & Associates Becomes a “Star Catcher” Supporter of Make-A-Wish Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Attorney Carney Shegerian of Shegerian
& Associates, Inc.
, a Santa Monica-based litigation law firm
specializing in employee rights, was in attendance at Make-A-Wish
Greater Los Angeles’ star-studded Wishing Well Winter Gala at the
Hollywood Palladium last night. Shegerian, a proud supporter of
Make-A-Wish, announced that he and his firm have become official Star
Catcher Sponsors of the event and the organization in general.

The Gala, hosted by EXTRA host Mario Lopez, honored actor Robert Downey
Jr. with the “Shining Star Award” (presented by actor Don Cheadle) for
his support of Make-A-Wish. Music and multimedia entertainment power
broker Scooter Braun and the Los Angeles Kings were also honored.

The Wishing Well Winter Gala also featured entertainment
executives, celebrities, business executives, community and civic
leaders, medical professionals and philanthropists, including Shegerian
& Associates, who joined to celebrate the children and families whose
lives have been changed forever by the power of a wish. Since the first
Gala in 2013, these meaningful events have collectively raised almost $3
million for wish kids living in Greater Los Angeles.

“It’s an honor to be able to show our support of Make-A-Wish,” said
Shegerian. “Our mission as an organization is to help people who have
been wronged and improve their lives, so we can appreciate the
tremendous efforts that Make-A-Wish undergoes to bring moments of joy to
these brave young children and their families.”

An experienced trial attorney, Shegerian has tried many jury trials to
verdict in both state and federal court, representing individuals that
have suffered financial or emotional losses and have been wronged by
employers, including major corporations. He has won over 73 jury trials
in his career, including 31 seven figure verdicts. Among his many
landmark cases, in 2014 he obtained a wrongful termination and age
discrimination jury verdict in favor of a client that is considered to
be the largest employment related award of its kind in Los Angeles legal
history.
