Social Solutions’ Client Nurse Family Partnership Receives $30 Million Grant

BALTIMORE–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Social
Solutions Global, Inc.
, the leading
provider of performance and outcomes management software for human
services and government agencies, is proud to announce long-standing
client Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) has been awarded $30 million in
funding. Presented to NFP so they can help address the high infant
mortality rate in South Carolina, this funding provides the resources
needed to send more nurses to the homes of first-time low-income mothers.

NFP has been using Efforts to Outcomes (ETO®) software to track data and
measure outcomes since 2010 and has already demonstrated success with
their program in several rural South Carolina counties, as well as in
other states across the nation.

Gov. Haley said that the Nurse-Family Partnership funding, announced
last week, will be paid by private donations and federal money. More
than half of the funding will come from private donors, including an $8
million gift from the Duke Endowment. The remaining sum will be covered
by the federal Medicaid program. In five years, NFP will be able to
reach an additional 3,200 families in 29 counties.

“Social Solutions is proud to partner with organizations that transform
lives in our communities like Nurse-Family Partnership,” said Social
Solutions CEO Scott Johnson. “Their dedication to working towards
successful outcomes and demonstrating measurable change helps them prove
the impact they make in the lives of those they work with. Social
Solutions is excited that our software provides the support they need
and is a vital their part of their program.”

Nurse-Family
Partnership
helps transform the lives of vulnerable first-time moms
and their babies. Through ongoing home visits from registered nurses,
low-income, first-time moms receive the care and support they need to
have a healthy pregnancy, provide responsible and competent care for
their children, and become more economically self-sufficient. From
pregnancy until the child turns two years old, Nurse-Family Partnership
Nurse Home Visitors form a much-needed, trusting relationship with the
first-time moms, instilling confidence and empowering them to achieve a
better life for their children – and themselves.
