Tickets to the 2016 season available immediately on the Fear Factory
website

SALT LAKE CITY–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#fearfactory–As darkness fills Salt Lake City on September 16, 2016, something evil
will be lurking in the dark as the Fear Factory (http://fearfactoryslc.com/)
opens its 2016 season.

Tickets to the Fear Factory are available immediately on the Fear
Factory website.

The Fear Factory has been a mainstay in Salt Lake City and a fan
favorite since it first opened prior to the 2011 Halloween season. The
Factory is located on the site of the old Portland Cement Company that
had a long history of unfortunate accidents that led many to believe the
site was cursed. While many businesses and residents shunned the
facility and left it abandoned for years, the Fear Factory has embraced
the haunted history and used it to create one of America’s best
Halloween attractions.

In 2015 the Fear Factory was named one of the Best
Halloween Attractions in America by The Travel Channel
. The award
was given for the best adrenaline-pumping destinations.

“We’re excited about the new season and even more excited about the new
attractions our fans will experience this year,” said Rob Dunfield, Fear
Factory Founder and CEO. “Every year we try to add something new to
surprise and scare our fans. This year we’re building on the tremendous
success of last year and have incorporated new technology that will
allow us to take haunting our fans to new heights.”

2016 Fear Factory attractions include:

  • Virtual Reality: This year the Fear Factory is incorporating
virtual reality technology to take haunting to a high tech level.
  • Fear Fall: The nightmare of falling to your death comes true as
you fall from the top of the Fear Factory’s tallest tower.
  • The Last Ride: The Last Ride is a zipline that transports
guests at breakneck speed from the west tower across the length of the
Factory for an overhead view of the horror below.
  • Zombie Bus: The Zombie Bus will transport fans for free from
the Gateway parking lot to the Factory and survivors back to their
    cars.

“We appreciate the support of our fans and their willingness and
excitement to be scared,” continued Dunfield. “We recognize that our
success is due to our fans and are committed to innovating to make the
fan experience unique and different and finding new ways to make them
look horror right between the eyes on a nightly basis.”

The Fear Factory also hosts a number of paranormal investigations during
the year. The site of the Fear Factory has a long history of paranormal
activity and unexplained sightings dating back to 1894. This year, the
Fear Factory has partnered with Grimm Ghost Tours to provide fans with
private or group ghost tours. Click here
