Steve Adcock to Speak at Women’s Energy Network – North Texas Chapter February 2016 Luncheon Meeting in Dallas

DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Steve Adcock, Senior Geophysicist at Resource Evaluations, will be the
guest speaker at the luncheon meeting of the Women’s Energy Network
(WEN) – North Texas Chapter on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at the Dallas
Petroleum Club, 2200 Ross Avenue. Registration for the event will begin
at 11:30 a.m. followed by the luncheon from noon-1:00 p.m.

Mr. Adcock will present a talk titled, “Seismic Attributes and
Classification: What, Why, and When?” at the February Dallas luncheon. A
question-and-answer session will follow his presentation.

Mr. Adcock has over 30 years of exploration and production geographic
and geophysical experience. He is the Senior Geophysicist at a
consulting company, Resource Evaluations, and works primarily with dGB
Earth Sciences, the provider of the open source geophysical
interpretation system, OpendTect. Mr. Adcock started his career at
Texaco in Houston working the South Texas Eocene, then joined Mitchell
Energy, where he was part of the Barnett Shale team which won the
prestigious ECC 2013 award recognizing their part in initiating the
shale play revolution. After Mitchell’s sale, Mr. Adcock worked in the
Middle East for a decade building a geographic and geophysical data and
information management system, converting hardcopy and core warehouses
to digital form, and doing seismic sequence stratigraphy workflow
research. Since his return home, he has been doing geophysical
interpretation, mentoring, and business development.

Mr. Adcock has bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Geology and a Master’s
degree in Geophysics. His work primarily focuses on exploration
geophysics.
