Stream Donates to Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces Program on Behalf of Its Own Veterans

New Partnership Reinforces Stream’s Continued Commitment to
Supporting Veterans

DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Stream,
a leading direct selling company and provider of essential services,
announces a sizeable donation to the American Red Cross North Texas
Region, directly benefitting Red Cross’ Service
to the Armed Forces Program
(SAF). The donation, made on behalf of
Stream’s own honored veterans (both corporate employees and Independent
Associates), reinforces Stream’s continued commitment to supporting the
veteran community.

Stream’s donation will help Red Cross North Texas kick off a new
technology-driven pilot initiative, as part of its SAF program: a
comprehensive, national client management system to efficiently leverage
the substantial resources that support its Emergency
Communications Center (ECC)
. Over 40,000 nonprofits are dedicated to
serving veterans, and ECC helps connect the right people to the right
organizations. ECC provides around-the-clock, comprehensive emergency
casework and referral services for members of the military, veterans,
retirees, DoD civilians (overseas) and their families during emergencies.

“We’re thrilled to partner with the American Red Cross and especially
excited to kick off our partnership by supporting this pilot project.
Stream is committed to innovation through technology and big thinking,
and this project fits right in with our company values and philanthropic
mission,” said Kimberly Girard, manager of community relations and
events, Stream.

The new system will feature a comprehensive integrated referral network,
including carefully vetted organizations and service providers. The
system will also feature a follow-up process, ensuring that all client
needs are met. Leveraging the comprehensive new system, Red Cross
caseworkers will ensure that veteran and military families are directly
connected with the resources they need.

“The American Red Cross has long been a partner to military service
members and their families,” said T.D. Smyers, chief executive officer,
American Red Cross North Texas Region. “The Red Cross also strives to
serve our country’s veterans through our newest program, Veteran and
Family Support Services. This new program helps veterans connect with
local resources, benefits and services available to them. Financial
donations from partners like Stream are appreciated because they allow
us to help veterans when and where they need us.”

The Red Cross provided roughly 364,000 case services to nearly 108,000
military families in 2014.
