Sub Zero Ice Cream has Liquid Nitrogen Treats for Everyone

National Ice Cream Franchise Celebrates Customizable Product during
Food Allergy Action Month

PROVO, Utah–(BUSINESS WIRE)–With summer right around the corner, ice cream season is almost here.
While it’s a universal truth that everyone loves ice cream, many people
suffer from allergies or have dietary requirements that make it
difficult for them to indulge in the sweet treat. Sub
Zero Ice Cream
, known for its billowing liquid nitrogen science
spectacles, is serving up premium ice cream everyone can enjoy –
including lactose-free, sugar-free and vegan options.

In honor of May being Food Allergy Action Month, Sub Zero is celebrating
its personal treats, which begin with one of seven cream bases,
including original, custard, low-fat and yogurt, as well as
lactose-free, vegan and sugar-free options. The sugar-free variety
includes Splenda® or other sugar alternatives, and the vegan selection
is dairy-free and unsweetened, with the option to add sugar, Splenda or
agave. After selecting a base, guests can choose from nearly 20
different flavors, which can be combined to create more, unique flavor
varieties. Guests can then choose to mix in an assortment of fruit,
candy, nuts or baked goods for limitless combination options.

Using Sub Zero’s unique patented process, every customized order is
frozen in about two minutes in front of the guest, using minus 321
degree liquid nitrogen. The flash freezing ensures milk molecules remain
small, water particles do not grow into ice crystals and nutrients are
preserved in the base, resulting in an ultra-smooth and creamy product.

“We love ice cream, and we think everyone should have some,” said Jerry
Hancock, Sub Zero’s Founder. “For those looking to cure their sweet
tooth, there is endless opportunity at Sub Zero to create custom treats,
even for guests with allergies or dietary restrictions. We are proud
that our ingredients and unique process for creating ice cream make it
possible for everyone to enjoy ice cream.”

Sub Zero currently has more than 50 ice cream stores throughout the
country, including Salt Lake City; Simi Valley, California; Houston and
San Antonio; and South Florida. The brand also has locations in China
and the United Arab Emirates.
