The Finish Line Youth Foundation Grants More Than $190,000

INDIANAPOLIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–$FINL #grants–The Finish Line Youth Foundation announced today the award of $190,904
in grants for the first quarter of 2016. The 21 grants will help
organizations in 12 states that focus on healthy lifestyles, youth
development and special needs.

“Camp can be a life-changing experience for kids and we’re honored to
make that dream come true for youth nationwide along with other programs
that support healthy and active lifestyles,” said Marty Posch, Finish
Line Youth Foundation president.

The Finish Line Youth Foundation supports qualified non-profit
organizations that provide community-based access to athletics for
children and camps that provide services to those who are disadvantaged
or disabled.

The deadline to submit grant applications online
for this quarter is June 30, 2016.

LEGACY GRANTS:

Camp Oliver (Descanso, Calif.) – $10,000 to revitalize a low
ropes course for 288 underserved youth campers. Camp Oliver provides a
safe, caring environment for all children, youth and adults so they can
appreciate and value themselves, others and the natural world around
them.

Harmony Family Center (Knoxville, Tenn.) $14,000 for a
therapeutic natural playground serving 2,000 foster children and
families. The Harmony Family Center serves children, families and
communities through counseling, education and adoption.

Therapeutic and Recreational Riding Center (Glenwood, Md.)
$75,000 Challenge Grant for a therapeutic indoor riding arena for 170
special needs children. The Riding Center provides indoor
sensory-sensitive therapy to serve children and youth with sensory
processing disorders.

CAMPS:

Camp Laurel Foundation (Pasadena, Calif.) $5,000 for
summer camp serving 125 youth who are affected by HIV/AIDS.

Connecticut Burns Foundation (Milford, Conn.) – $5,000 to support
2016 Burn Camp for 80 children recovering from severe burn injuries.

Deepwood Foundation (Mentor, Ohio) $5,000 to support
Camp for Confidence serving 60 children with developmental disabilities.

Epilepsy Foundation of Texas (Houston, Texas) – $5,000 for
residential camp experience for 287 children with epilepsy.

Girls Incorporated of Greater Indianapolis (Indianapolis)
$5,000 for Strong, Smart and Bold summer camp for 100 girls to be
healthy, educated and independent.

Hear Indiana (Indianapolis) – $5,000 to support Listening and
Spoken Language Camp for 65 youth who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Little Red Door Cancer Agency (Indianapolis) $5,000 for
Camp Little Red Door for 108 pediatric cancer patients.

Outside the Box (Indianapolis) – $5,000 for Camp Create U! summer
camp for 40 special needs youth.

Ramapo for Children (Rhinebeck, N.Y.) – $4,500 for Camp Ramapo
Summer Adventure for 500 disadvantaged children with disabilities.

Tanager Place (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) – $5,000 for Camp Tanager for
600 economically or medically disadvantaged youth.

HEALTHY LIFESTYLES:

Cerebral Palsy of Westchester (Rye Brook, N.Y.) $7,500
to support an adaptive sports program for 30 youth with cerebral palsy.

Friends of Foster Children of Palm Beach County (West Palm Beach,
Fla.)
– $5,000 for Enriching Connections sports and academic program
for 50 foster youth.

Include Autism (San Diego, Calif.) $5,000 for an
inclusive baseball league for 90 youth with autism.

Kids Enjoy Exercise Now (Los Angeles) – $5,000 to KEEN Sports and
Swim program for 55 children with disabilities.

New York Road Runners (New York, N.Y.) – $5,000 for New York Road
Runners running program for 77,000 children of all fitness levels.

St. Mary’s Foundation for Children (Bayside, N.Y.) – $5,000 for
summer programming for 80 youth with complex physical and mental
disabilities.

The Family Place (St. Paul, Minn.) – $5,000 for its leadership
development program for 115 homeless youth.

YMCA of the North Shore (Gloucester, Mass.) – $4,904 to support
Camp Ann Mobile YMCA serving 250 low-income youth.
