The Homer Laughlin China Company® and Union Reach Agreement on New Three-Year Contract

NEWELL, W. Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Homer Laughlin China Company and its employee members of the Glass,
Molders, Pottery, Plastics & Allied Workers Union (GMP) Local 419 today
reached an agreement on a new three-year labor contract. Union
officials, led by Tom Hubbard, GMP Local 419 president, informed Homer
Laughlin that the agreement had been confirmed. Approximately 600
union-represented employees are covered by the approved contract.

Homer Laughlin President Elizabeth McIlvain said, “Although healthcare
prices have continued to rise, we were able to reach an agreement that
suited both parties. This three-year contract demonstrates that both
sides were committed to reaching a consensus.”
