Time Warner Cable Deportes and the Los Angeles Lakers today announced they will host a special welcome for the Triqui Indian boys basketball team from Oaxaca, México, during their visit to Southern California. Recently, the inspirational group of children was celebrated for their success on the court despite many of them playing without shoes at the International Festival of Mini-Basketball that took place in Argentina.
During their stay in Los Angeles, the team is participating in a series of activities including a clinic led by Time Warner Cable Deportes on-air Lakers analyst and former NBA player, Pepe Sanchez joined by the Spanish-language Lakers play-by-play announcer, Adrian García Márquez.
