Time Warner Cable Deportes and the Los Angeles Lakers Plan a Special Welcome for Triqui Boys from Oaxaca, Mexico

Time Warner Cable Deportes and the Los Angeles Lakers today announced they will host a special welcome for the Triqui Indian boys basketball team from Oaxaca, México, during their visit to Southern California. Recently, the inspirational group of children was celebrated for their success on the court despite many of them playing without shoes at the International Festival of Mini-Basketball that took place in Argentina.

During their stay in Los Angeles, the team is participating in a series of activities including a clinic led by Time Warner Cable Deportes on-air Lakers analyst and former NBA player, Pepe Sanchez joined by the Spanish-language Lakers play-by-play announcer, Adrian García Márquez. The children will also pay a special visit to the Staples Center this Friday for the Lakers game where they will take part in a number of unique courtside experiences with the team.
